Born in 1921, Lim Tze Peng is a self-taught Singaporean artist who is widely recognised for his depictions of the Singapore landscapes. Beginning his art practice in the early 1950s, Lim started off with oil paintings. He participated actively in artists’ field trips around Southeast Asia thereafter, which further refined his skills as an artist.

For over 60 years, Lim has aced in the different usage of mediums: calligraphy, oil and Chinese ink painting; capturing the beauty of Singapore in his unique paintings.
